13 Generations. 1 Farm.

Our story

The Homestead Farm has been owned by the same family since Stormville was first discovered in the 1750s. In 1965, Charles Tucker started the first buffalo farm east of the Mississippi River, and although the farm is no longer in operation the spirit of the farm still lives on. His granddaughter Maggie Tucker has revived the name of the Homestead Farm and created the Homestead Marketplace, a one-stop shop for local products, produce, as well as fresh made-to-order lunches. You can even purchase different kinds of meat; pork, elk, venison, and of course, buffalo!

Always local

Maggie’s goal is to offer as many local products as possible, from body care products to meats and desserts, as well as local honey and produce. “Everything is prepared on the premises using meats and veggies available that day for sale” she says. With the help of her mother Tess, they have put together a broad array of products and gifts to suit everyone’s needs. And keeping it to the roots, you can even purchase your own buffalo meat or try our delicious Homestead buffalo burger!

We would love to hear from you!
